’producing space: simplify, amplify, megaphone factory‘ takes its inspiration from the process of sound transmission and aspires to explore the perception of space through the intricate interplay of various symbols, patterns, forms, materials, and spatial interactions. Endeavouring to respond to the current social context, the exhibition explores how sound can extend our perception of space during the communication process— the space generated by sound can be characterised as a container facilitating the flow of entities, an embodiment of atmosphere and cognition, a crystallisation of time, and a manifestation of culture and politics.

The workshop took place during the summer of 2023 on the island of Jeløya, home to Galleri F15 and the MOMENTUM 12 Biennale. Posters serving as live workshop media were displayed sporadically throughout various spaces and corners of the biennale, such as staff offices, stairwells, and corridors. This workshop aimed to engage with the audiences through questions and writing, fostering discussions on issues related to ‘space.’
The theme 'producing space: clear, obscure, a collective' emerged from observations made by ss space space during their residency at Tenthaus, a Norwegian artistic organisation.

'producing space: divergence, convergence, dessert shop' is a site-specific installation including sculptures made from baking ingredients, utensils and raw materials for sculpture. Dispersed throughout the gallery, the installation complements the gallery’s existing architecture, exploring how ‘space’ is considered a producing site as well as a produced place.

Such unprecedented practice of social distancing has accelerated the penetration of ‘contactlessness’ into our daily lives. The forms of connecting others has been various but at the same time been abstract ever before.
In this project we invite creatives to describe their understanding of contactlessness which encounter with their practices, artworks and daily lives.

Our online talks, attempt to reflect how artists have adapted their practice to the changes in their work and exhibition space in recent years. We would like to invite fellow creatives to share their practices, processes of making and thoughts on the current situation—all of which will culminate in discussions on ‘space'.
We were delighted to invite 11 creatives working in various disciplines, including aesthetics, philosophy, art and language to contribute to the project.
