'producing space' is one of ss space space's long-term projects that utilises existing, functional spaces within society as the foundation for their artistic creation. Guided by the dynamics between exhibition space and sculptural materials, the project endeavours to transcend the temporal and spatial structure of the venue to articulate the form of spatial existence. Furthermore, 'producing space' explores the intricate relationship between space as both a realm for production as well as a place that is, at the same time, produced.

Entitled 'producing space: simplify, amplify, megaphone factory', this exhibition is a site-specific installation centred on the locale of the exhibition venue— Sanming Sound, a pioneer manufacturer of speaker phones in Taiwan since the 1960s. The exhibition delves into the history of speaker invention, the intricacies of manufacturing processes, functionality, and the environments in which speakers are employed. This exploration aims to foster a nuanced dialogue that interweaves elements of sound, material, and temporal-spatial dynamics.
