Hojan regards painting as a form of translation, a medium that transforms the ineffable absurdities of life and the intangible into tangible forms. To her, it is within the interstice of comprehension and ambiguity that a fertile ground for creation is found.
Hojan, documented as Ho Chan, was born in Taiwan in 1994. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, in 2019.
